SimHub is believed to be the Africa's first intelligent multi-SIM MiFi device. Seamlessly switch between networks, extend Wi-Fi to coverage range, manage calls and SMS from both SIMs, and host up to several devices β all from one powerful device. Pre-designed & built in Zambia. Engineered for the rest of the world.
In a world where staying connected is no longer a luxury but a fundamental necessity, millions of professionals, entrepreneurs, remote workers, and students face a daily battle against unreliable internet. Network outages, expensive data bundles, limited hotspot range, and the constant frustration of managing multiple SIM cards across different devices have become an accepted norm β but it doesn't have to be this way. Introducing SimHub, a revolutionary multi-SIM MiFi device meticulously engineered from the ground up to solve unique connectivity challenges. Born from the innovation labs of GetCAD Technologies Ltd in Zambia, SimHub represents a quantum leap forward in how we think about mobile internet access. Unlike conventional single-SIM hotspots that leave you stranded when your carrier goes down, SimHub intelligently manages more SIM cards simultaneously β automatically switching between networks to ensure you never lose connection during critical moments.
Millions of African professionals face daily connectivity battles. Network outages, physical SIM swapping, limited hotspot range, and fragmented communications are accepted norms β but they shouldn't be.
One carrier means every tower outage or congestion event stops your work cold.
The fundamental flaw in modern mobile connectivity is its singular point of failure. When you rely on one mobile network operator for your internet access, you are essentially placing your entire digital life in the hands of a single infrastructure provider. Network towers go down during power outages β a disturbingly frequent occurrence in many African cities. Unexpected maintenance windows knock out service for hours without warning. And during peak usage periods, network congestion reduces speeds to unusable levels.
Physically ejecting SIMs damages trays and interrupts active connections.
Anyone who has managed multiple SIM cards knows the ritual intimately: power down the device, locate the SIM ejector tool (which is never where you last left it), carefully remove the delicate tray without damaging the pins, swap the tiny plastic card, reinsert the tray, power back on, and wait for network registration. This process, which takes anywhere from two to five minutes, is not merely an inconvenience β it is a fundamental design failure in how we interact with mobile networks.
During important business calls, swapping SIM cards is impossible without disconnecting. While uploading large files to cloud storage, interrupting the connection means starting over from the beginning.
Phone hotspots die in 3 hours and barely cover a single room.
The smartphone in your pocket is a technological marvel, but it was never designed to serve as a dedicated internet gateway for multiple devices. When you enable the personal hotspot feature on your phone, you immediately encounter its limitations. The Wi-Fi radio in a smartphone is optimized for battery efficiency, not transmission power β resulting in effective ranges of perhaps ten to fifteen meters indoors before signal degradation becomes noticeable. Connect more than three or four devices, and performance deteriorates rapidly as the phone's processor struggles to manage packet routing, network address translation, and cellular data simultaneously.
Without visibility into rates, users overspend on data across carriers.
Mobile network operators across Africa offer a dizzying array of data bundles, promotional offers, and time-limited deals that vary not only between carriers but often between different regions of the same country. Without real-time visibility into which SIM card offers the most cost-effective data rate at any given moment, consumers routinely overpay for internet access. The problem is compounded for those managing multiple SIMs β keeping track of remaining data balances, expiry dates, and fair usage policies across different accounts becomes a cognitive burden that most users simply abandon, defaulting to whichever SIM happens to be in their phone.
Managing two SIMs means missed calls on your secondary number.
The modern professional juggles an increasingly complex web of communication channels. Personal calls come through one number. Business inquiries arrive on another. SMS verification codes for banking and government services might be registered to either SIM. WhatsApp messages, Telegram notifications, email alerts, and social media direct messages each demand attention through different applications. The result is communication fragmentation β a state of constant context-switching that reduces productivity and increases the likelihood of missing important messages entirely.
SimHub consolidates your cellular communications into a single, unified interface. Both SIM cards' calls and SMS messages appear in the SimHub Connect app, allowing you to see all your communications in one place.
Using your phone as hotspot drains it β forcing impossible choices.
Using your primary smartphone as a mobile hotspot creates an impossible trade-off between connectivity and communication. The combination of cellular data transmission, Wi-Fi broadcasting, and screen usage drains a typical smartphone battery from full to empty in approximately three to four hours of hotspot use. This leaves users with a devastating choice: stay connected to the internet or preserve battery life for essential phone calls and messages.
The alternative β carrying a dedicated hotspot device, a power bank, charging cables, and potentially a second phone for the secondary SIM β results in a pocketful of gadgets that each require their own charging routine and maintenance.
At the core of SimHub's innovation lies its intelligent dual-SIM management system. Unlike basic dual-SIM phones that require manual network selection, SimHub continuously monitors the signal strength, data speeds, and network availability of both installed SIM cards in real time. When the active connection degrades below acceptable thresholds β whether due to network congestion, tower maintenance, or unexpected outage β SimHub seamlessly transitions your data session to the secondary SIM without dropping connections, interrupting downloads, or requiring any user intervention whatsoever.
Automatic network switching based on signal strength, speed, and cost.
The Wi-Fi subsystem in SimHub is engineered from the ground up for range and reliability, not mere convenience. While typical smartphone hotspots struggle to cover a single room effectively, SimHub's dedicated Wi-Fi access point, paired with an external high-gain antenna, delivers usable signal up to one hundred and fifty metres in open-air conditions and penetrates multiple walls indoors with remarkable stability.

Long outdoor range with external antenna support for more clients. (this to depend on the model, see Simhub Models)
The SimHub Connect mobile application transforms your smartphone into a powerful communications command centre. Available for both iOS and Android platforms, the app features a stunning, intuitive interface designed with the same attention to detail you would expect from premium consumer software. From the app's dashboard, you can monitor real-time battery status, signal strength for both SIM cards, connected client devices, and cumulative data usage at a glance. The integrated dialer makes phone calls through either SIM card, complete with contact search, call history, and favourite contacts. The SMS interface supports threaded conversations, group messaging, and message search, syncronizing contacts between sim cards, hub saved and even from the host phone itself.
Manage calls, SMS, contacts, and hotspot from one beautiful interface.
Smart Calls represents SimHub's vision for the future of mobile communication β high-quality voice and video calling that operates entirely over your data connection, bypassing traditional cellular minutes entirely. Free, passkey-protected, or individually approved connections with time limits.
In an era where digital security is paramount, SimHub provides unprecedented control over who can access your internet connection and for how long. The device supports three distinct access modes that can be configured and changed at any time through the app. Free Access mode allows any nearby device to connect to your SimHub hotspot without authentication β perfect for public events, community gatherings, or situations where ease of access is prioritised over restriction. Passkey-Protected mode requires users to enter a password before gaining internet access, providing a balance of security and convenience suitable for most everyday scenarios.
24-hour continuous operation with intelligent power management.
The power management system in SimHub represents a careful orchestration of premium hardware components working in harmony to maximise battery life without compromising performance. The Texas Instruments BQ24070 charging controller manages the lithium-ion battery with precision, supporting fast charging while protecting against overcharge, over-discharge, and thermal runaway. The STM6600 smart on/off controller enables push-button power control with debouncing and long-press shutdown protection. Real-time battery monitoring provides accurate percentage readouts, estimated remaining usage time, and charging status through the app. When the battery reaches critically low levels, SimHub automatically saves all system state and performs a graceful shutdown to prevent data corruption.
